社区工作及服务

Dr. McMillin joined the College for Public Health and Social Justice in 2013 as the director of the Master of 社会工作 degree program. 他曾担任 chief executive officer of a Catholic retirement community focused on bringing innovation and culture change to long-term care. Dr. McMillin also served as an analyst in the Office of the Inspector General for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, as a program evaluator for the Ounce of Prevention Fund, as an officer in the United States Air Force chaplain corps.

He has 20 years of experience in intervention and prevention services for children, 家庭和老年人. Dr. McMillin has published over 50 scholarly articles and given over 90 scientific presentations on evidence-based practice, management, and policy in health and social care. His research focuses on investigating and understanding innovation and entrepreneurship approaches that advance social inclusion, civic and environmental health, the common good.

Dr. McMillin is a Fellow of the Society for 社会工作 和研究, where he chairs the section on Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship. 他也是 editorial board of the 宗教杂志 and Spirituality in 社会工作: Social 认为. 在我们当地的社区.
